REFMAP and ImAFUSA projects unite in a European initiative to make aviation greener, more digital, socially accepted, and globally competitive.
The Aviation Twin Transition Cluster (ATT Cluster) has officially launched, combining the efforts of the REFMAP and ImAFUSA projects to promote climate neutrality and digital transformation in aviation. This European initiative is designed to support the development and demonstration of cutting-edge technologies that will further digitalise, automate, and make the aviation sector more sustainable.
The ATT Cluster is a collaboration aimed at transforming the European aviation landscape by integrating emerging digital technologies and business models that prioritise environmental sustainability. By uniting EU-funded projects focused on aviation, the ATT Cluster seeks to create synergies among stakeholders—including researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals—to address challenges, expand their professional networks, exchange ideas, tackle complex aviation challenges, and innovate for the future of aviation.
Additionally, the cluster will serve as a hub for information exchange, offer training resources, and strengthen networking opportunities. It will play a crucial role in promoting research outcomes that make aviation greener and more digital, while also providing access to expertise and relevant projects at national, European, and international levels.
Finally, a new visual identity has been created for the ATT Cluster to graphically represent its vision. Our logo reflects its focus on sustainability and innovation in aviation. The overlapping blue and green circles symbolise the integration of digital transformation and environmental responsibility. The clean aircraft silhouette at the centre emphasises the aviation industry's central role in this initiative. The simple, modern design effectively communicates the ATT Cluster's mission to drive progress toward a greener and more advanced aviation sector.
Stay tuned and follow our hashtag #AviationTwinTransition for updates on our joint activities as we work together to shape a sustainable aviation sector.
The ATT Cluster invites other EU projects focused on aviation to join the initiative and contribute to shaping the future of sustainable and digital aviation. To learn more about the ATT Cluster, please visit refmap.eu/aviation-twin-transition-cluster.
